Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Richard moved to Korea and taught English after grad school. Upon returning to the USA, he built out his photo portfolio while living in Seattle after seeing a lot of work that was technically well executed but lacked any soul. Eventually moving back to Philly, he worked shooting a mix of events, weddings, and portraits. A few years later, he relocated to NYC and focused on growing those skills even further. After 10 years in New York City, he opened up a brick-and-mortar studio location to focus on portraits. His great loves include ideas, fashion, music, soccer, cars, and his family.
